FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING FOR YOUNG AND VERY YOUNG CHILDREN

FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING FOR YOUNG AND VERY YOUNG CHILDREN

Young and very young children live in a magical world. At early ages children are “sponges” and they absorb all types of information.
I think that all schools should promote bilingualism. Children should learn foreign and mother tongue languages, for example English, Catalan, Spanish, German, Italian, etc.
In my opinion English is the best language to learn because it’s the word’s global language.
But I think that learning and teaching a foreign language is so difficult, especially at cum early ages. On the other hand teachers have a lot of means for teaching one language and are something funny and with different plays. Children must pay because it is the best way to learn a foreign language.
Some of the games plays that I would do are: costumes, storytelling, songs, doing theatre plays based on short stories, and games.
Personally I would love to learn English because I’m terrible at it I am aware that it’s extremely important to find a job to communicate and enrich ourselves. I say all this because if I had learned English before I wouldn’t have so many problems.
The best way to learn a foreign language is playing games and having good, friendly and patient teacher.
Finally I would say that one of the best thing in the world is understand up people no matter which language they speak.
Thank you.

MR. TWIT GOES TO THE HAIRDRESSER

MR. TWIT GOES TO THE HAIRDRESSER

One morning Mr. Twit woke up with all his hairy-face full of pieces of food from the night before. He had had a tuna salad with bread for dinner so he had some bread and tuna chunks all over his face. Mrs Twit woke up too and said: you are so dirty and smelly! Go and wash your hairy-face! Mr Twit listened to his ugly wife and went to the bathroom to wash himself but the food was already really hard so he couldn’t remove the pieces of bread and tuna from his hair.
Mr. Twit came out of the bathroom and said to Ms Twit: darling! I can’t wash my face properly because all the food is already stuck to my hair so I think I should go to the hairdresser.
Mrs Twit answered him: oh dear! That’s a really good idea!
Mr Twit got dressed had breakfast and went to town to find a place to get his hair cut. After a while he found a small old place with a big advertisement on the door that said: We cut your hair for less than a beer! Mr Twit saw through the window an ugly man and decided to go inside the hairdresser. He was sure this man was a good hairdresser because he was old and so he had a lot of experience cutting hair.
Mr Jimmy, the hairdresser told Mr Twit to take a seat and he quickly started his job. He suddenly realized that he wasn’t able to cut Mr Twit’s hair with a normal pair of scissors because his hair was so dirty and a sticky that it was very difficult to cut hard.
Jimmy went to the storeroom to get an electric saw started to cut Mr Twit’s hair. At the beginning Mr Twit was a little bit scared but at the end he was really happy with Jimmy’s work.
From that day Mr Twit decided not to have long hair anymore and he promised his wife he would go once per week to the hairdresser.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

There once was a young woman, whose name was Beauty. She lived in a village whit her father Maurice. Maurice was an inventor who some people considered to be a crackpot.
One day Maurice went to a fair for inventors, but got lost on the way and he ended up in a castle. Beauty was very worried and she went to look for him. When she arrived at the castle she discovered that a Beast lived there. Eventually she agreed to stay in the castle instead of her father.
There were lots of objects that came alive, for example a clock, a teapot and a lovely cup. They wanted Beauty to feel good in a spite of the bad Beast. The living objects wanted to break the spell about the rose.
Beauty was locked up with her father in a hut by Gaston. Gaston was a bad man who loved Beauty. The small cup helped Beauty and her father to escape.
Finally Gaston and the Beast fought and then the Beast won. The beast went to to the castle with Beauty. Beauty loved the Beast. They kissed and the spell was broken. The Beast seemed to be dead but then he became a handsome knight.

Beauty and the Beast lived happily ever after.

GOVERMENT’S PLAN TO INTRODUCE LAPTOPS IN CLASSROOMS.

GOVERMENT’S PLAN TO INTRODUCE LAPTOPS IN CLASSROOMS.

In this composition I will comment about the Government’s plan to introduce laptops in classrooms.
Some topics to be discussed are if children learn better reading from a text book and writing in their exercise books and if laptops are an important part of modern teaching or not.
There are some different opinions, on this topic. There are people who are for and others against. Some people think that this plan is an important part of modern teaching but other people think that we can’t forget traditional methods.
New technologies are very important in our lives. People have a computer at home and now, for most jobs we need computers.
In my opinion, we need computers for some jobs and in the future all companies need special people with degrees and ICT competent enough. But in the area of education I think we can’t eliminate paper and pencils. Maybe we can train children with a special subject about the new technologies.
